Visitors from Germany

5th September 2007

I took 2 ”Skyline GT-R maniac”s from Germany to Japanese car auction, USS Tokyo, last week.
They looked really having fun participating in auction.

Dos Alemanes nos visitaron la semana pasada.
Ellos compraron dos ‘Slyline GT-R Maniac’ en USS tokio.

 German
(They succeeded in getting 2 GT-Rs at the auction last Thursday.)

And they told us that there are few GT-Rs in Germany, but people,
especially young people, love it. It is wonderful that everyone in the world loves Skyline.

This is the first time for us to export Skylines to German, however, we hope we are going to export more GT-Rs to Germany in the future
and many car maniacs to try driving with that nice car!

Unfortunately, one of them had to back to Germany in a hurry, but we had some beers with another customer at the bar near our office last Friday night. After drinking, one of our office clerks showed him around Kabuki-cho, busiest town in Shinjuku. There are not only many Japanese but also so many non-Japanese day and night. We recommend you to experience that hot town.

We will welcome everyone from the world who likes Japanese car and loves beer!

Ellos nos contaron que haya un poco de GT-R en aleman, pero la gente joven especial lo ama a GT-R.
Es primera ves que nosotros exportamos Skyline a alemania, pero nos encantariamos exportar mas
GT-R a alemania!!

Our new trade terms regarding deposit

4th November 2005

We are introducing a new rule about membership and deposits for used car  auction.  From now on, we will have various membership plans and benefits for our customers to ensure high quality service.

Once you enroll as our member, depending on the number of vehicles you purchased, you’ll be placed in a membership category. Thus, a new member stats as ‘Red’ member, and gradually progresses towards the ‘Premium’ status.

Our cost calculation is straight-forward. Our fees include our commission, auction fee, Japanese domestic transportation charges, and Forwarder fees (customs in Japan) and the fees vary depending on the membership type.

Used Car Auction Fees

For example, if you are a Premium Member, and succeed in getting a car at JPY 500,000 at the auction,

your total cost would be JPY 500,000 (car cost) + JPY 70,000 (our fees) = JPY 570,000 (FOB price).

To arrive at the CIF price add the freight fee (from Japan to your country’s port) to the FOB price.

*.Please note that you will have to pay 5% commission charges on car costs exceeding JPY 1,000,000. For example, if you are a Premium Member and if you would succeed in getting a car at JPY 2,000,000 at the auction, then you’ll have to pay extra commission of  (2,000,000-1,000,000)x5% = JPY 50,000.

Thus, the total price of the car will be 2,000,000 + 70,000 + 50,000 = JPY 2,120,000

USS Auto Auction in Tokyo, Japan

17th October 2005

I attended USS Tokyo auto auction last week. Then I bought one Mazda Familia. It was auction Grade “4″, however my friend Mr.Nishimura found that it was grade “R” few days ago.  I was very surprised knowing that. Of course  we complained about it to USS, however, they refused our claim. They insisted that it was not a vehicle damaged in accident. I did not want to send a restored vehicle to my customer, so I cancelled the order. I had to pay 70,000 yen as cancellation fee. So the morale is buying cars in auction is sometimes risky. But we keep our customers happy even if we have to face a loss.

Japanese Motorcyle Auction

20th September 2005

I went to Japanese motorcycle auction together with one of my customers on Tuesday.

Normally the shipping cost for motorcyles is very high from Japan. However, if 30 motorbikes can be stacked in a 20 feet container; so the shipping cost becomes cheaper if more than 30 motorcyles are shipped in containers.

You are always welcome if you wish to go with me personally to attend motorcycle, car or truck auction in Japan.

I could get some valuable insights from them about the car export business.

Normally I work for over 15 hours everyday, but I learned that Mr.Takeda used to work for more hours when he established his company. He is a really excellent president. He is a president who can command respect by his results.

Deposit for Used Car Auction

5th July 2005

For those who wish to bid for used cars from auction, please note that you need a deposit at least  100,000 Yen for every car you wish to bid for. This is to protect our interest, in case you would not buy the car after we buy the car from auction for you.

We will honestly tell you about the start price at the auction and maximum price at which similar cars were sold at the previous auctions. You have to use your judgement andarrive at your bid price; also keeping in mind your budget. If you are lucky, you can bid for a price lower than average market price and you can still buy the car at that price if nobody bids higher than you and the seller is willing to sell at that price.

Today we experienced a problem.  One buyer from Cyprus sent a deposit of 100,000 yen via T/T. He also called me to confirm the bank transfer and expressed his interest in buying a car from the auto auction. I was happy that we had a new customer. But several hours later, another man called claiming the same name and he said he wanted us to return his money immediately.

Of course we would return the money if the customer wants it, but in this case we noticed there was something strange. If I send back the money, and if the real customer surfaces later, that would be a problem. My real customer would lose money by my mistake. So this time I decided to keep his deposit for 2 months unless he buys the car from us.  Some developing countries have many regulations about sending money by T.T. and I have to be very careful if such requests arise asking for returning the money deposit.

Please do not worry. We always keep our customer’s money safe, and normally we return their money immediately if they desire.  We just charge the bank transfer charges to the customer. We have different bank accounts for customer’s deposit.

One more notice. I got a deposit from Mr.Richard from Aucland NZ on 19th May. But so far he hasn’t contacted to me.  Mr.Richard please contact us !!We are waiting for your contact.
