Are Japanese used cars not welcomed in the world countries? Yes, for government authorities, but for many people, the demands of Japanese cars is high. This is because Japanese used cars usually have low mileage and are in good condition, in spite of old models. I traveled to Memphis and Jackson in the USA. Memphis is famous for Elvis Presley’s home town and Graceland is a place that Japanese President Koizumi had been invited by President Bush just recently. I visited in these towns for business travel, but I had trouble with the immigration because of the influence of the terrorist issue in UK. It was impossible taking with me such items: plastic bottles, tooth paste, and pills. I needed prescription by the doctor if I wanted to bring medicines in the airplane. (more…)

Many Japanese people have strange prejudice towards foreigners. Since we belong to an island country, there is surely a great cultural difference between the thinking of Japanese and people of other countries. For example, a Japanese feels uneasy to apologize to a person of other country – where he is at a fault. That is because even though he admits the fault, the foreigners try to take advantage of the situation by claiming more than the real fault. (more…)

I am enjoying my stay in Saudi Arabia for Japan Industry 2005 trade fair organized by JETRO. Here in Riyadh, I was happy to see many high technology skills of Japanese companies. Many of these are unknown in even our country.

During my stay here, I met many nice Saudi Arabian people who believe in Islam very much; however they are very friendly and honest. (more…)

Recently, the USS auction hall opened even in Kobe. The auction of Kobe was opened on last Sunday. So now every day there is car auction somewhere in Japan. Japanese people love working. (I am not that typeactually, but I have to) Working for 15 hours every day, and even on holidays is normal for Japanese.

We have begun translation of our homepages and other promotional materials into Russian now. Our Russian staff Zoya is a clever woman and she translates with surprising speed.Russia has now outnumbered New Zealand in the imports of cars from Japan. So we will try to do our best to satisfy Russian customers.Today I went to JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization). JETRO is organizing a trade fair for exihibiting Japanese products in Saudi Arabia this November. (more…)
