Honda Motor Co. took the wraps off its Acura NSX supercar production model at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit on Monday.
The Acura NSX is equipped with automaker's original hybrid system and boasts a horsepower of 550 but is fuel efficient, according to Honda. Its body uses multiple materials such as carbon fiber, aluminum and ultrahigh-strength steel.
The minimum price is set at $150,000, the highest for Honda vehicles. The automaker plans to start taking orders for the new car this summer in the United States for delivery in autumn. The company plans to launch the supercar in Japan, Europe and China as well.
