Executives at Toyota Motor say they will upgrade safety features in almost all of their cars by 2017. They announced on Wednesday new automatic-braking systems that avoid collisions by using a camera to detect the vehicle ahead.

Another feature automatically adjusts the brightness of the headlights when an oncoming vehicle is detected.
